HABDA is hosting the Hafla Tuesday night at Avant Garden 8:30pm.There is a $5.00 cover charge. It's a membership drive so old members, come out and re-join! We have some fun events planned later this year. Current members not dancing, come out and support your sisters! December, it could be you on stage! And the rest of Houston BD aficianados(sp?), we want to see your smiling, zaghareeting faces there as well!

    As a brand new addition to the Houston Area could I ask 2 questions. One where is or what is the best way to get to Avant Garden? Two what does the HABDA do? Is it just an association to support each other?

      Hey Raven! HABDA= Houston Area Belly Dancers Association. The website Nari attached has more info. And tonight is the perfect night to come out and meet fellow dancers! Casual, fun, informal is the running theme for the HABDA Avant Garden Haflas. Members perform and many folks come out to see and support. Past shows have been standing room only so come out early if you can! I'll keep a watch out for ya!

      Also, Avant Garden. Be on the lookout for a 2 story yellow Craftsman style house with a wrought iron fence around it. Parking there is tight and limited so you may have to park on one of the back streets. Count in scouting/parking time if you are coming. Don't want you to miss anything. The show is held upstairs, just grab a drink at the bar on your way up!
