Huge thanks to all the performers and attendees of last night's show. We had such a great time!!! The feedback was wonderful, and we appreciate the support. Who knew that you could bellydance to a song from Oklahoma, for crying out loud? Well, Anna surely showed us how to do it up right. Her first piece, a fan veil routine to "Close Every Door" from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was lovely as well. Aisa's performance to "I Don't Know How To Love Him" from Jesus Christ Superstar was beautifully moving. Lea got everyone's attention with her bellydance rendition of "Hey Big Spender", giving it plenty of excitement without losing one ounce of class. If anyone didn't know that our own Farasha Sh'wani knew the hula... she showed everyone how it's done last night to "Bali Hai" from South Pacific. Great Job!! Silke's "Rich Man's Frug" took us back to the 60's, giving us another look at Sweet Charity. The ponytail and white gloves really were the icing on the cake, and she never fails to put a smile on everyone's face! Nari... oh, Nari... that costume!! va-va-va-voom!! I'll never look at Cabaret the same way... Her fishnet sporting self took on "Mein Herr" and had everyone clapping their hands raw - it was most excellent! I had such a great time dancing to "All That Jazz"... ya gotta love Chicago, right? So, to one and all... thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I haven't had that much fun in ages!!!

Qantara hosts Vagabond Bellydance this month, on June 16th... You will never see so many top hats or so much fishnet at a bellydance show... Our theme... "Bellies on Broadway" takes a fun twist on the standard bellydance show! This month, all performances will be to Broadway showtunes, done bellydance style. :) It's going to be a VERY interesting show, so come on out on Tuesday, June 16th for a bit 'o fun.... ;-) Pieces from: Chicago, Cabaret, Oklahoma, Sweet Charity... and another surprise or two await your viewing pleasure.
