Myself, Shalimar and Christy (noore Kavir)had a great time in Corpus this past weekend. We have a new troupe name in Corpus called, Noore Kavik. Had a fun workshop with Amaya and a chance to see friends including Ayana and Anna from Houston. Anna from Shaabi Chic was vending and Tatika's Treasures. Of course I had to buy a few trinkets. LOL. All in all it was a good weekend. We performed in the Friday night show and so did Anna. A bit tired but home safe and sound.

    I went to the Saturday workshop too and it was great to see the people from Houston that I don't get to see that often and Kathy and Steve of Tatika's Treasures as well. Amaya was a wealth of knowledge as usual and her choreography was interesting--a drum solo in the morning and fan veils or fans in the afternoon. If you haven't taken from her, I would recommend it. She has a style all her own--part belly dancing, part Spanish gypsy.
